Craig Silliker – Miramichi Regional MultiCultural Association

Craig Silliker was born and raised in Miramichi, and has a wife and two young boys. He has been the Executive Director of the Miramichi Regional Multicultural Association since November 2017. Craig’s down time is usually spent at hockey rinks and soccer fields, coaching and cheering on his boys. As the Executive Director of the MRMA, he is always looking for ways to break down the perceived barriers that might separate people in our community. For instance, he is a firm believer that sports is a great way to bring people together, and so he was very happy to lead the charge in bringing the Canadian Tire First Shift hockey program to Miramichi this past hockey season. First Shift is an initiative among Canadian Tire, Bauer, Hockey Canada and local minor hockey associations to introduce the sport of hockey to families and children who might not have had an opportunity to play hockey before, for any number of reasons, including economic and societal reasons. The program was a large success with 22 participants, and so Craig is happy to say that the First Shift program will be coming back to Miramichi again this Fall!Thanking Craig Silliker (R) is Rotarian Gary Foley (L)
